This isn't the first time this happens.Īnyway, I did some googling and read auto-saved data was stored as. Surely enough, I restarted Word and no auto-saved versions were offered. Of course, being MS software, this feature only works when you don't need it. Normally when this happens, you restart word and then it offers to recover the document from one of the auto-saved versions. It was so quick I thought I had accidentally focused another window or something with the touchpad, but I the taskbar button was gone and Word was most definitely not running. I was typing away when, suddenly, my MS Word window vanished. ![]()
